Welcome the the SACSC Research Centre!
The Safe and Caring Research Link is a user friendly virtual forum where individuals and organizations share their knowledge, understanding, and expertise. The Centre serves as a knowledge broker where partners have the opportunity to participate in a discussion forum, read summaries or reports from other researchers and identify gaps in research to meet community stakeholder information needs.
The central focus of the SACSC Research Centre is children and youth and research relating to: violence and bullying prevention, development of self esteem, respect for diversity, conflict resolution, anger management, character education, positive decision making skills, youth resiliency and building safe and caring and inclusive schools and communities. (see Structure of the SACSC Research Centre)
Though this research centre, the Society aims to encourage stakeholders to participate in a collaborative approach and use quality research to inform policy and program development.
