Contribute Your Unit and Lessons Plans

All of the units and lesson plans on this website integrate the content from SACS topics and concepts with curriculum outcomes in a secondary subject area. We hope to build this website by inputing unit and lesson plans from teachers.

All lessons must:

• illustrate a clear connection between SACS topics and content and a curriculum outcome (KSA) in a secondary subject area;
• identify instructional strategy(ies) that promote pro-social interactions or teach positive behavior and attitudes; and
• utilize the following model (for consistency).

What's in it for you?

• Lesson plans must be edited and approved by the Society for SACSC prior to publication. Unit plans that include a number of lesson plans are preferred.
• SACS lessons that do not relate to current projects are accepted for publication; however , no honoraria are available for these lessons at this time.
• This electronic lesson publication is a positive addition to the curriculum vitae of teachers, beginning teachers and pre-service teachers alike.

Writing workshops will be held periodically throughout the year. Check Niska News or contact our office.

Please include all relevant contact information. Prior to inclusion on the Website, lessons will be field tested and vetted. All lessons will be subject to Association editing policies. Copyright remains with the Alberta Teachers' Association.
