Toward a Safe and Caring Community

This program is designed to help all adults who work with children—parents, teachers, coaches, youth group leaders, music instructors—model and reinforce positive social behaviour, whether at school, at home, in the community or in the workplace.

Community Workshops

The community program includes a series of five workshops for adults and older teens that are each presented in five one-hour sessions for a total of 25 hours of instruction. Participants who have successfully completed the following five topics and have received their community facilitator certification can order materials for the following workshops from the SACSC office:

  • Topic 1: Living Respectfully
  • Topic 2: Developing Self-Esteem
  • Topic 3: Respecting Diversity and Developing Preventing Prejudice
  • Topic 4: (A) Managing Anger and (B) Dealing with Bullying
  • Topic 5: Working It Out Together

For more information on SACSC workshops, or for a workshop schedule, please visit the Workshops page.
