The information and publications available on the Society for Safe and Caring Schools and Communities (SACSC) website (collectively the ‘Resources’) are intended for use by school staffs, parents and Community members for the sole purpose of assisting in bullying and violence prevention, character education and conflict management concerning children and youth attending school in kindergarten to grade 12 (collectively the ‘Concerns’). THE SACSC DOES NOT RECOMMEND USING THE RESOURCES FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE AND BY USING THE RESOURCES, YOU AGREE TO THIS LIMITATION AND THE OTHER TERMS OF THIS DISCLAIMER. The SACSC has made every effort to ensure that any advice, programs and information contained in the Resources is accurate, current and based on careful research; however, knowledge is constantly evolving, and opinions as to best practices may vary. The Resources are part of a general preventative approach, and are not focussed on the treatment of specific incidents. Individual publications and information are not sufficient in and of themselves to address the Concerns, but they can be a useful part of a carefully implemented strategy. Appropriate discretion must be used when determining the best way to integrate and adopt the Resources, and when deciding if alternative professional intervention is appropriate. The Concerns raise inherent and potentially grave risks of physical and emotional harm for victims and perpetrators of bullying, violence and other related conflicts, and of social harm to the community. Even where the SACSC’s programs are implemented completely, there is no guarantee that they will be entirely successful and harms that have occurred may be aggravated, and/or new harms may ensue. As such, the SACSC disclaims any and all liability that may arise through the use or reliance upon the Resources, including but not limited to liability caused by the negligence of the SACSC, its affiliates and/or third parties.
